The theatre group Dublin Lyric Players, in association with Astronomy Ireland, are proud to present a production of Bertolt Brecht's play 'The Life of Galileo' - a classic play about the later years of the life of Italian scientist and philosopher Galileo Galilei. As part of the celebrations for the International Year of Astronomy (IYA) - inspired by the 400th anniversary of the first use of an astronomical telescope by Galileo Galilei - the Dublin Lyric Players and Astronomy Ireland have teamed together for the production, commonly regarded as one of the finest plays of the 20th century, and a brilliant artistic expression of the mind and times of one of the most remarkable figures in world history.

The performances take place at 6:15pm from Monday to Friday, July 13 - 17.
The venue for the performance is 'The Atrium' - a state of the art exhibition space at the centre of the Headquarters of the Office of Public Works, 51 St. Stephen's Green, Dublin 2.
