[size=3][b]Astronomical Star Parties and Solar Observation[/b][/size]

Free to everyone in collaboration with the Wiltshire Astronomical Society, the William Herschel Society and the Griffon Educational Observatory, supported by B&NES Heritage Services.

Summer Solstice Solar Observations Tuesday 21st June
Salute the sun safely through a solar telescope from 10am in Kingston Parade Bath.

Star Party Friday 12 August from 9 pm
A chance to see the Geminids meteor shower, Saturn setting, Jupiter rising and Uranus within 3 degrees.

Star Party Saturday 29 October from 7pm
Targets: Jupiter and Herschel’s planet Uranus.

Star Parties take place in Victoria Park in front of Number 1 Royal Crescent.

Astronomical observations are dependent upon suitable weather conditions; please check the local forecast earlier in the day.
