Afocal astrophotography

Postby doleen123 » Sun May 04, 2014 7:43 pm

Hello to everyone ,
Being a newby, I'm not very proficient at this but here goes.
I am in the process of starting afocal astrophotography, and also in the process of attempting to
Use a logitech c910 as the imager.
My problem is that I can't get the camera to focus through my eyepiece.
I've tried an 8mm 60 degree star guider ed eyepiece, and a 12mmwide angle plus some other low
Power ones.I just can't focus it.Any Ideas gratefully accepted.
Regards,
John.

You should focus it with your eye and then simply hold the webcam up to the eye piece. It can be a bit fiddly founding the right distance and alignment. If that doesn't work try a compact camera or one on a mobile phone or tablet computer.
