Antique scope

Apparently there is a 1920 (Otta?) long telescope in my local antique shop, I'll have a look later. If anybody is interested let me know and I'll get the dimensions etc.

Following from my message yesterday, I looked at this telescope, very nice it is.
Details are: OTTWAY, Ealing London, HUYGHENIAN (?) 6" long refractor 4 1/2" I think, viewfinder, brass and bronze, although the scope has been painted white and the mount grey, wood tripod, comes in a large wood box and has 5 eyepieces and some other attachments, they are asking for £1800 ONO. although for me he said £1500 on account of our friendship but I haven't that much to spent plus it really should go to a collecter or an observatory or university and really I think it is worth more than that to the right person.

If anybody is interested or want to pass it on, let me know I'll give the vendors details.

As I live in Ealing I wouldn't mind a look.

On the other hand, there's no way I'm shelling out £1500 on an antique scope, so maybe I should just avoid! [:)]
