Hi I want to start with astra photography but I am unsure of what T mount etc I need to buy, I have looked on web sites but just found the info confusing I have a Canon 550D and the telescope is a Celestron 6N any advice would be appreciated Thanks Mikael48

Get a T thread camera adapter with a Canon fit and then either get a T thread 1.25" nose piece adapter or see if there is T thread on the end of your 'scope's focuser draw tube for direct attachment of the camera adapter.

Just one thing, I gather that some Newtonian 'scopes have the focal plane too close to the focuser to allow a camera's sensor to be brought into focus. I don't have any experience with Newtonians so I can only suggest that you check that your's can be used. Replacement low profile focusers are available to solve this problem.
