I remember the last Comet McNaught. Was it January 2006? Great pictures in the astronomy press with its tail stretching half way across the sky. Shame I was in Lancashire - the clouds didn't part for weeks that year and I never caught so much as a glimpse. [:o]

HI James,
Im was fortunate enough to see this glorious comet on the late afternoon twilight of the 10th January 2007.It was close to the horizon with a broad bright tail.[8D]It was said to be magnitude -3 at the time but it looked brighter to me.Even my neighbours were impressed and their the Big Brother type[:D].
