Hi Gang,

The SOHO probe has discovered it's 3000th comet! Known officially as a Sungrazer comet, these are short lived comets that get too close to the Sun's gravitational pull to survive. Take a look at the announcement here http://www.esa.int/spaceinimages/Images/2015/09/SOHO_s_3000th_comet
