Taken on a Nexstar Alt-az mount with the ED80 and 0.5 focal reducer (needed to reduce exposure times). 40x30 sec exposures using the Atik Titan. The lovely dark skies of Caithness are a real bonus. :)

Now there's a target I haven't had a go at yet definitely something to put in my to do list. How did you manage to get nice round stars using the Nexstar Alt-az mount?

It depends on the area of the sky, but you don't get much field rotation with 30 sec exposures. Also there are a few actions in photoshop which can help to round the stars. :)
