£400 is a bit much for a flat.

Serioulsy, I wouldn't mind if I had somewhere to permanently mount it.

Any particular reason why you're selling?

Good one Philip lol

I am selling it because I just dont have the time to use it now I have my new job. I work 10 hour days and I dont get in till late and by the time I have done the three S's (Sh** Shower Shave) and had my dinner I have to go to bed because I have to be up at 5:30 in the morning.

I feel like it is going to waste!

Keep it.

We say to beginners that they ahve to have a realistic understanding of what they can or will actually see. We also need to have a realistic understanding of the number of clear nights.

An observatory near me looked at the number of "clear nights", found it was 1 in 4. That wasn't however a clear sky all night just a period during the night when you could observe, say 2-4:00AM would count.

As no-one (sensible) stays up wondering it might clear at some strange time of the night this really meant very very few clear nights at sensible times. So lets say 1 in 10.

Those clear nights then had to fall on convenient nights, for me twice a week. Basically it seemed to come down to one a month or less.

Find that you need to be realistic and accept that for many nights observing just isn't going to happen even if clear.

However if you sell then if clear and convenient won't matter. And then you will want the same stuff, or bigger, all over again. All you can do if have an idea of what you might do if clear and if a convenient night. If they coincide then take advantage, of not smile and curse the weather gods.

But keep the stuff.

I am up at 5:30 also for work.
