Hearty Welcome Rick

I shall be in Scotland (Tignabruich area) at Easter with a new scope and looking forward to the dark skies. It would be helpful if you could arrange for the clouds to be dispersed around Easter.

cheers
Auray

Welcome Rick. I've been to Inverness many a time. It's a great part of the UK to live in. Welcome aboard & hope you enjoy your newfound leisure time.

Hi Rick, and welcome to this Forum, where you'll find lots of friendly people willing to offer help and advice.

As Les says, "we're no a bad bunch fur Sassanachs" living doon sooth o' the border.

The only complaint I have, is that everytime I visit your beutiful country, it pours of rain.

A great hobby in retirement, as you can stay up us late as you like and not have to get up for work in the morning.

Hi Rick,
Welcome to the forum, i'm at the other end of the n.e. coast from you in Peterhead.
i'm also fairly new to this, been interested for years though. I'm using a celestron c8-n on a eq5 mount, got it about 6 months ago.
Like you i'm into my astronomy, fishing and computers, however, as a carpenter and joiner, the DIY...[:'(]
My apoligies for a late reply to your post but i'm not often online.

Hi Rick,

Good to hear from the "capital of the highlands" - haven't been up your way since I climbed Ben Wyvis. I hear there is a flourishing AS in Inverness. Hope the weather is good for you (or at least better than Glasgow).

Rick - just a reminder that I'm in Scotland at Easter and hoping you have arranged for clear skies.

Gratefully
