Hello from Sussex

Postby mre » Mon Sep 11, 2006 2:23 am

Hi all,

I'm a lapsed observer, having picked up the bug in my early teens. It kinda went off the boil in my early 20's, but wifey bought me a Meade ETX125PE for our wedding anniversary this weekend! I'm wondering if she's telling me i need to get out more.....

Anyway, looking forward to getting back into it all and getting my kids fired up with the enthusiasm that I had back then.

Oh, and a claim to fame.....I was privledged to be on the Beeb's Star Party from Jodrell Bank. It was a great night, got to meet Sir Patrick and talk with some of the astonomers up there. Even wifey was interested, which obviously sparked the idea of the pressy......

Looking forward to chatting with you,
mre
