Could anyone help me, I'm looking to purchase a telescope for my 14 year old son for Xmas, I'm unsure which would be best for him. I would be grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction because i have no idea thanks in advance :)

What every you do don't buy a plastic one (such as National Geographic) from the likes of Argos or a supermarket - they are complete rubbish. Celestron do a relatively nice entry range of entry level telescopes that start at under £100. Beyond that, how much do you want to spend? There are lost of answers on this forum to "which telescope" questions so have a browse through them too.
