That looks neat - are you going to try and mod it so that you can operate it remotely from your warm room? Will it take a longer lead?
Scopes: Meade 8" SCT, Skywatcher 127mm Mak

I have a similar unit. I've got a 3m extension on it with no problems. I found it fiddly to attach, but its ok once you've managed it. Incidentally these only work properly on the telescopes mentioned. I transferred use from my 8" to 11" when I upgraded and found great difficulties in making it work. (I did eventually with a lot of modification)
I use an 11" Celestron SCT (CPC 1100) on an equatorial wedge, housed in a 2.2m Pulsar observatory. I use a ZWO ASI1600MC and Canon 500D for imaging.

I have bought two 5m extensions, and there are many types for many scopes by JMI

I will operate it fully remote from my lounge using sky portal on my tablet to control the scope, image using a cheaper Nex image 5 camera and now focus remotely, I am also adding a skywatcher remote focuser to my new scope when it finally arrives, using the celestrons mount, remove the SC and put this on the mount

The good thing about the Celestron mount in the photo is you can fit many scopes to it not just the 8" SC
