M82 in BW 09-10 May 2006

Hi all, this is my first trial of the Art 285 and the Meade 10" SNT.

Nice image again Ernie but if I may, try reduced magnitude next time to capture detail.

Yes, these are well set up images (great focus) except I think you possibly have too much gain, try longer sub exposures say 30secs and less electronic gain, then lift the detail using the mid-band curves in your software. That said these are excellent first light images.

Yep I see what you both are saying, I will see what I can do, Many thanks all help is most welcome.

I had another go at processing the M82 image, but not to sure if it is much better.
