hi,gang,just had a circular for comet 2006 m4 (swan).
should sport a tail,and be easily binocular visible.
lets hope for a good one.
moves through Leo,and into Ursa Major during september.
by october easily visible in evening sky.

Eclipse Reminder!!!

Hi Gang,
Don't forget to watch out for tonights eclipsed Moon, not only will it be a different colour at Moonrise, but it will be at it's largest. as you know the Moons orbit is eliptical and tonights full Moon will be when the Moon is at it's closest, so get out there and enjoy it (pray for clear skies gang!)

Partial Lunar eclipse 7th September

Visible at moonrise. Starts at 18:05 UT and finishes at 19:37 UT. Maximum at 18:51, 18 per cent of the moon will be covered by the earth's shadow.
To see anything at all, you will need a flat eastern horizon and very clear skies. Most of the eclipse will take place at a very low altitude.
