big binoculars v binoviewer

HI EVERYONE, JUST FOR SOMETHING TO DO ON A WARM EVENING I THOUGHT I WOULD TEST MY 25X100 STRATHSPAY BINOCULARS AGAINST MY VERY CHEAP BCF BINOMATE AT 25X ON MY TELESCOPE(EVOSTAR 120 REFRACTOR), ON THE MOON AND JUPITER, I THOUGHT THE BINO'S WOULD WIN HANDS DOWN, BECAUSE BINOVIEWERS DO LOSE A LITTLE LIGHT BUT TO MY SUPPRIZE THE BINOMATE AND SCOPE WON EASELY. SO NOW I WILL BE GOING FOR WILIAM OPTICS BINOVIEWER SET UP. ...

Anyone familiar with the William Optics philosophy of high quality at a reasonable price will be glad to know that it extends to binoviewers. Conceived very much as an observing system, the unit comes in a presentation box with two wide-angle 1.25-inch eyepieces of 20mm focal length in addition to a 1.6x Barlow lens. The latter screws into the front of the binoviewer nosepiece, permitting you to use the ...

experimenting with eye pieces

Hi, as this is for group test, i thought i would see if anybody tries anythink like this!..messing about with mirrors, barlows and eyepieces. But ...

Binoculars 10 x 50

I want to get some 10 x 50 Binoculars and tried to get Edition 3 to read the Group Tests. This back issue is no longer available though.

I quite like the look of the Celestron OptiView LPR. Can you tell me how this did ? What was the best buy? Any other feedback on what I ought to look out for would be good. I don't really want to go beyond £100.

Thanks
