Come and say hello to your fellow Sky at Night Magazine fan

Morning Everyone!

Hi everyone,

ThinAir (Chris) here, just reaching out and saying hi.

Got my first telescope for Christmas (A Celestron Astromaster 130EQ) as a result of the GF getting fed up of me threatening to buy one and spending most of my time outside at night developing a crick in my neck.

I've also invested a pair of binoculars and a little red-light torch after reading something in a book that said it wouldn't affect my ...

Hello all!

My name Chris, and I live just north of Toronto, ON. I just registered with Sky At Night Magazine and I am just waiting on the delivery of my first telescope - the Meade ETX 80 Backpack.

Looking forward to asking silly questions, learning new things, meeting good people and picking up this new hobby.

Cheers!

Chris.

Hello

Hello guys.. I am new to this forum and thought I'd introduce myself.. I am Bala and I was gifted a telescope last week by my wife and have always been interested in astronomy and astrophysics but never somehow got myself a scope.. Starshot hype. It can't, won't work, so forget it.

Having caught the end of the Sky at Night on TV, I joined up to scotch the nonsense I heard about Starshot.

Crazy hype.

On the other hand, if a Russian billionaire offers me $100 ...

Nuby Nuby

Hello!

My name is Jon,

I've always had an interest in all things skyward, but i want to begin to get into astronomy in a bit more depth, as opposed to just watching the odd satellite or flare every now and then!

I guess this is the best place to come for the undoubted wealth of collective knowledge of all seasoned members of this forum

Quick bit about myself, recently separated father of 1,work as ...

Hi Everyone

Hi All,

I have recently retired, and have been meaning to join an astronomical group for some time.

My name is Roger, and I live in Birmingham, but spend a lot of my time in N.Wales, and am looking to get more acquainted with astronomy. So I am looking to get my first instrument, so much choice, so much advice, but I am thinking of getting a good pair of binoculars initially.

Regards.

Roger
