Went to the softonic site with the free download of Stellarium and on LH side bar it shows an x against Windows10 and when clicking on the info button, it says it is not compatible
Forum won't allow me to put full web address here as too spammy!

That looks like a really old version; far better to get it from Stellarium.org instead (downloads from Sourceforge)
64 bit version from

32 bit

Some things a forum just can't help with. ;)

Downloaded Stellarium and it works fine on W10.....not sure why the first site I looked at said otherwise.
Just need some better night skies now as it's been mostly cloudy out here in Wales for weeks now!

Possibly a web site that has not been updated. There had been problems with the graphics on Stellarium, and Windows 10, but they were addressed and solved in later versions.

I hope you have been getting your clear skies!
I use an 11" Celestron SCT (CPC 1100) on an equatorial wedge, housed in a 2.2m Pulsar observatory. I use a ZWO ASI1600MC and Canon 500D for imaging.
