Melton and District Astronomical Society - April Meetings

Postby David Conner » Thu Mar 28, 2013 10:04 pm

Melton and District Astronomical Society will be holding two meetings in April. On Friday April 5 there will be a short AGM followed by a chance to chat about astronomy and telescopes, watch a video, and observe if it is clear. On Friday April 12 Andrew Atterbury will be giving a talk called 'A Tour of the Solar System'. Again, if it is clear, we will be observing. Meetings are held at Gaddesby Village Hall, Melton Mowbray, doors open at 7.45 and all are welcome. For more information visit our website http://www.meltonastrosoc.org/index.html

We have a THIRD meeting this month! 25th April 2014 – Jeff Lashley, ‘Telescope GOTO systems’. This talk will cover astronomical telescopes in general as well as discussing the modern 'GOTO' systems. If you are new to astronomy and have any questions regarding telescopes then this one is for you. If you have a telescope and would like advice on how to set it up or get the best out of it then please bring it along.
