Melton and District Astronomical Society

Postby David Conner » Fri Mar 01, 2013 5:05 pm

Melton and District Astronomical Society, based in north east Leicestershire, has something for everyone with an interest in astronomy. We are a small, informal society where the chance to chat and pick people's brains is an important feature. Usually, observing takes precedence over talks if the sky is clear.

Meetings are held on Friday evenings at 7:45 at Gaddesby Village Hall, Ashby Road, Gaddesby, Melton Mowbray LE7 4WF. All are welcome; you don't need to be a member, just turn up on the night. Visit our website for more information. http://www.meltonastrosoc.org/

Melton and District Astronomical Society will be holding two meetings in April. On Friday April 5 there will be a short AGM followed by a chance to chat about astronomy and telescopes, watch a video, and observe if it is clear. On Friday April 12 Andrew Atterbury will be giving a talk called 'A Tour of the Solar System'. Again, if it is clear, we will be observing. Meetings are held at Gaddesby Village Hall, Melton Mowbray, doors open at 7.45 and all are welcome. For more information visit our website http://www.meltonastrosoc.org/index.html
