NEW HORIZONS

Postby baza1972 » Mon May 27, 2013 9:34 pm

Hi everyone been a while.
Can anyone tell me when new horizons can start taking photo's of planet pluto and its moons . Don't know what viewing gadgets its got on board but i know as from 27 5 2013 it only has 777 days to go to get there. So if it's too far away at the moment how close will it have to be to start taking good quality photo's
Cheers
Baza

Sounds very interesting but I won't get too excited until it gets to the Edgeworth-Kuiper Belt and starts showing images. Of course, there's a risk it could get hit
How can I be at one with the universe when we don't know what 96% of it actually is?

Hello Everyone
Just like to say after starting this thread 2 years ago about new horizons reaching THE PLANET PLUTO i am very happy to see it in all its glory and will be looking forward to even more stunning photo's.
Me personally i think this is up there in Nasa's top 5 missions.
Thanks
