Sky at Night Magazine

Hello, I've been interested astronomy ever since I bought [i]The Observer's Book of Astronomy[/i] & a planisphere over twenty years ago. I don't have a telescope at the moment but I often (weather permitting) use a pair of wide-angle Carl Zeiss binoculars. I just found this forum & thought it looked interesting.

Welcome Ancha! Hope you enjoy the forum. As you don't have a 'scope, have you thought about trying out your local Astronomical Society? On observing nights you could try out some of their kit and these societies often loan out spare equipment that they have access to. Wishing you clear skies.

@WayneR: thanks, that sounds like something I might follow up on later. On a good night the binoculars are good for sweeping star fields though. The skies above me aren't too clear at the moment ... looks like I'll have to look at virtual stars on my PC LOL!

welcome ancha, its interesting to reading about you . Here is the same i am also so much interested in astro and i often go to my home roof and look consistantly towards the sky . When star twinkle then feel very well and some time see some movablable stars. ohhhh soo pretty.
