light into eye piece

hi all just got my skywatcher 150p learning about it but come aross a hicup my best place to view is my front garden with all the light hiting my eye piece making it hard to view i am box in at back garden with trees ,houses blocking my view thanks for advice in advance

Wear a hoodie with a BIG hood to block out incidental light. You might look like a street kid but it's night-time - no one will notice. Or drape a towel over your head. Or put up some sort of light shield to block the worst of it. Most drastic solution? Your backyard and a chainsaw.

wouldn't solve any problems with violence.I would love to wear a hoodie only to observe the messier objects

hi guys i went into draper shop and get some black out suff , the like young mothers block out light for there young ones it work
as i have light problems what messier objects can i see in the south and east with this street lights hiting my scope

the council have put a new street light up where i live so to overcome this problem i use a parasol and that works very well
