Is there a nightly database of pictures of the night sky?

Is there a center for pictures captured by amateur astronomer or alike?
I am looking to see if there are any organizations that gather pictures of world-wide night sky.
I doubt it, but I must ask.

I've not heard of an organisation that does this I'm afraid.

If you want to see what the sky looks like there's The World Wide Telescope that can show a photographic atlas of the night sky - though with professional images.

Astrobin is one of the most widely used sites for hosting amateur images of the night sky, but most of the images will be of a relatively small number of objects.

Did you have a specific reason for asking?

If there were pictures of the night sky, night after night, would we not be able to detect asteroids or other objects heading our way? By looking for the background light from the stars that would be blocked by objects in between us and the stars.
The same techniques they use to look for planet around other stars.
I am surprised they haven't setup these cheap stations all around the world to re-construct the night sky in 3D.
This way, the detection can happen anywhere in the sky, not just where we aim our telescopes!

It's an idea, but using amateur images wouldn't give the coverage, resolution, standardisation or frequency of coverage to be able to do this.
The idea is being taken up though, with the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope, which will image 90 % of the night sky every few days, imaging stars down to 24.5 in each 15s exposure.
The data processing overhead to identify changes in the images from one night to another is enormous though, and if you signed up for all the alerts, you might get 10,000,000 of them per night.
