Saturn and first image

Postby ryanarchy » Sat May 30, 2009 12:30 am

As it was getting slightly dark i got my first view of Saturn, might of been tiny but it was amazing. I dont think ive stopped saying 'amazing' and 'omg' since i saw it. The wind didnt make viewing too great but still, that was amazing. Also got my first afocal images, really pleased with them.. even if the moon looks brown XD

With a DSLR if you use the self-timer or a shutter release cable there should be no shaking (or absolute minimal). I agree that a webcam is best for imaging planets. Both are fine. Practice makes perfect.
