Although the opposition of Saturn isn't until 28th April, the Seeliger effect (brightening of the rings) is already noticeable. This image was taken with a Celestron NexStar SE6, a Phillips SPC900NC webcam, a Televue 2x Barlow, 863 frames at 5 fps and 1/25 sec, then processed and saved as a PNG file in AutoStakkert!2 and the waveletted in Registax6.

I tried for Saturn on Friday but it didn't focus. Pete Lawrence later said he had similar problems.
How can I be at one with the universe when we don't know what 96% of it actually is?
