OK.. I will start, I am a newcomer to this all and only been actually observing for about five months... not much observing though due to our wonderful cloud cover hat. lol. My best sightings...hmm well now I would have to say every time I look into the EP all that I see is my best sightings.

I have been interested in the night sky from a young age about 8 ish I think lol, and now some 40 years on I decide to get myself a telescope and have a closer look. I wish I had of done it years ago, so much to see and image (just starting this also).

Regards

Ernie

Hi Ernie

Its never too late to say welcome, so welcome aboard, even if I did only just two days before you (Lol).

BTW, we have met on UKAI.

It also appears that we run very similar set-ups. I've just changed my ST80 for an ED80 and also have 300D, although having the MC7C, I've never used the 300D for astro imaging.

Oh dear Ernie, my cover is 'blown' !!! (LoL)

Yes, I have indeed changed the ST80 for an ED80, and the ST80 has now gone to another UKAI member.

Although the ED80 is now mounted on top of the 10" LX, its been cloudy every night since I bought it, so its yet to be tried out.

However, from what I hear and read, I shouldn't be disappointed.
