Hmmmm. Having trouble getting any sense out of the camera. Doody (Andy) hasn't answered emails concerning said camera. Hmmm..described as used twice only - maybe by him but not the previous owner/s. Hmmmm...? Wonder if he got rid of the camera because it may possibly, alledgedly not be 100%? Hmmm..have I blown £160...looks like it.

Well, because I'm nice and to save them the 4% I paid as a 'gift'....idiot I should say. So there's no comeback there Ion. Have to stop trusting people and start living in the real world.

Ok,I'll keep it to the facts. The camera might have been used twice by Doody - but quite a few times by its previous owner/s. A fact not mentioned by Doody, which would explain the scratches and dirt . I tried it a few times and after over a week I got a terrestrial image and a very poor lunar image. I had a friend try it and after crashing a dozen times he gave up. I sent it to another UKastroimaging member (with a few years experience of DSI's ) and he told me about the loose connection to the usb - hence the crashing, and the poor chip response overall...all checkable with the UKAIG member. And I'm impressed Doody could image Holmes in those two times he used the camera. So,I'm out £160 and have a paperweight. lesson learnt the hard way

[quote]ORIGINAL: ion

Have you contacted trading standards, also the small claims court are VERY cheap and NIL if you win.
