The sun at 08:51 is very active, with two spot groups visible. Here is a drawing I made through my Baader filtered Nikon RA66 spotting scope using x32 magnification. The sky is very transparent but the seeing, as you would expect is not so good. I made it no2 on the Mt Wilson seeing scale.

Hi Paul, have a look due west, punch up the magnification with a 5mm eyepiece there is a group of very small sunspots.

Hi Paul,

Yes I see what you mean. I've counted five small sunspots in this group. There very small, and easy to miss. If they develop into a large spot, then possibly we might get our first unaided eye sun spot?

AR 1112 is worth watching.
