Just come in from observing the sun in WL and Ha.

In my 20cm the group is big and well developed, lots of medium sized ubrae within prenumbral haloes and many small spots without any surroundings contad 29 umbrae in all. What would have been the Large sized main spot is split intwo 4/5 seperate umbrae within the deep prenumbra.

With the PST, the group shows all the medium sized spots surrounded by a concentrated area of plages, and a long thich filliament reaching away from close to the main spot, which looks singular and large. Couple of prominences (small and faint) down on the lower right limb, but not much happening away from the main spot.

A good one to watch develop. Mick IOW.

Had my scope out before and must admit, very nice group of sun spots, tried to get a pic using my phone but did not turn out so good. So appologies for the image quality.
