HI There,
This image of the Moon and the Pleiades was obtained at 21:34 GMT using a Pentax K100D DSLR 6mp,piggybacked on a driven Helios Explorer 200 Newtonian with a EQ5 mount. The lens used was a M42 threaded Prinz 135mm fl 55mm diam telephoto. The exposure was 15 seconds 200 ISO.Overexposure of the Moon was ovoided by using a dark card as a dodging tool over the lens for the vast majority of the exposure.
Regards Les.

HI Brian,
Thamks Brian. For over 30 years right up to 2004 when I went digital dodging was a well know darkroom technique on prints at the enlarger stage.I had a whole collection of differant shaped homemade dodging tools made from card with handles fashioned from thin garden wire.Keeping them on the move it was possible to burn in and dodge out varies parts of a print to good effect.Tell the kids of today that and they wont believe you[:D],everything is done at the computer now.But is it really photography?[8|]Ahh I can smell the chemicals now.[:)]
Regards Les.
