tube for a dob or newtonian

Postby skye at night » Fri May 23, 2008 10:56 pm

hello,

I had some guttering materials delivered today and they have arrived in a nine foot long heavy duty cardboard tube of just over 8 inch diameter.

My newt project with 8 inch mirror has been on hold due to lack of this material and now it actually lands on my doorstep.

Mine is a truss design, but I will need 2 short lengths to mount the mirror cell and to hold the focuser and spider.

There will be a LOT left over so will gladly make any spare lengths available to interested forum members.

Would just need youy to cover any postage cost (shouldn't be a lot). Will be using the materials in a week or 3 so will post again when I know exactly what I have left, but should be enough for a couple of 8 inch f/4 to f/6 scopes.
Let me know if you are desperate for this tube as I was and I will keep you in mind.

Thanks

Steve
