Not yet, as I don't have one. However, I am going to Astrofest at the start of February with the intention of buying one. I've currently got my eye on the ZWO ASI224MC as a Planetary and Guide Camera. If I do get one, I will be using it in a twin 'scope setup and not off-axis.

Would you recommend twin scope over off-axis? Having done a bit of research off-axis saves on weight but does have it's disadvantages.

I've been looking at the Celestron Skyris imagers which seem pretty good.

Dave - how about the NexStar 8se as an alternative? Would give me a few more pennies to buy eyepieces and ccd.

It's a great starter GOTO 'scope and one that you could do planetary imaging with, but...
# it's a single fork arm alt-az design (there may be wedge accessory)
# the optics are not flat field
Whereas, for the extra £400 or so you're getting:
# a fairly decent GOTO equitorial
# the Edge has a better focuser
# the Edge had cooling vents
# the Edge has a tube carry/grab handle, which provides that extra assurance when mounting and demounting from the mount's dovetail clamp.
# you can use the mount with a side by side adapter kit to allow a guide scope to be used.
# and you use the mount with other tubes, as you grow your collection

You could of course consider one of the other AVX package options. The SE mount will be more compact and lighter than the AVX, which may be an important consideration.

If you can get to London in a weeks time, you'll be able to look at all of the options at Astrofest.
