SOLD on 28th August 2015.

I have a Meade 2080 8" SC telescope and I'm looking for a new owner for it.

The scope is getting a bit much to move about (even to the garden) and it's difficult for me to transport it to darker skies. So it has not been getting much use lately and deserves a better home.

Although originally bought in about 1990 - and hailing from an era before computer control and guidance - it remains in good condition. I doubt, though, that its second-hand value is very high.

If anyone would like to make me an offer for it they are welcome to do so. A prospective new owner would have to collect it from Rickmansworth, Herts.

Details are as follows:

The telescope has a fork mount with motor drive and comes with a Meade field tripod, an equatorial mount, two eyepieces (MA 9mm and MA 25mm), a diagonal prism, a 6 x 30mm viewfinder and a carrying case.

Further info can be found in the instruction manual which can be found by googling "meade 2080 manual" and selecting the link to the pdf at the University of Florida.
