Ok this is corny, I am over 60 now but my first telescope was this one.

I would dearly love to own it one last time. Again.

I know it is classed as no good now but .....

Any help in locating one would be so much appreciated

Thanks

I have my original 40mm refractor, and I found some spare parts on the internet to get it going again.
There is no shame in wanting to get your first telescope back again!

Edit: I had a look around and I couldn't find any Prinz reflectors. There were plenty of refractors though.

They are rare, one on ebay last week I clicked bid but forgot to click confirm and missed it for £25

Someone had one up on Ebay with a starting bid of £150 about a month ago. It failed to sell. so you could try and contact them to see if they'll consider a private sale.

Would need collection from Burnley - it's got the wooden tripod so is fairly heavy

Again this is a refractor. Is it a refractor or reflector we are looking for? :?

These refractors are far from being 'no good'. They are well made with excellent optics. I think £150 is asking far too much though.

At least you found a Prinz reflector! - I think they might be relatively rare. As you say, £25 is a bargain. The best thing would be to set up a search on eBay - and wait - and hope.

I never understand why people don't offer postage. It drastically reduces the chances of get a buyer. It is easy enough to package it up and get a quote. If someone wants it, they will pay the postage.

That isn't a 500R the 500"R" is a Reflector
