Wanted: GPS receiver

Wanted: GPS receiver

Postby 1981astro » Mon Apr 23, 2007 3:00 pm

Does anyone have a GPS receiver (preferably an RS232 interface one) that they are willing to sell, or know of anywhere I can get one (I've tried Maplins etc) ?

I'm making a GPS interface for my scope, just need the receiver bit.

Regards,
luke

Hi Luke,

Have you thought using bluetooth as your interface. I ask this as there are loads of cheap BT GPS receivers on the web that might fit the bill for what you want to do.

never thought of that....

I was just trying to make a cheaper version of what Celestron sell. Although I worked out with all the parts I'm looking roughly at over £130.

Thanks for the tip though
