Where has that time gone?

Hi gang,

Some of you were probably not alive and some of you too young to remember that in 1976 on September 3rd of that year (some 39 years ago!!) I remember it well!. NASA has marked the occasion by placing this image from the landing site and even though we have had all the rovers since this mission, I still think that these images from both Viking landing sites are some of the most striking and remarkable that we have ever gotten back from the Red Planet. See if you agree here http://www.nasa.gov/image-feature/sept-3-1976-viking-2-lands-on-mars

John.
To me astronomy is looking up and thinking "What the heck is going on up there!!"

Time flies too fast and you don’t remember everything at once.
