Will Williams Wobbly Wooden Wedge Work Wonders We Wonder....?

Ok substituted William for Billy just to keep the theme going...

Have added a 12mm stainless threaded support bar to the rear overhang of the wedge which also allows me to adjust the angle of the dangle of the widget on the wotnot....

Basically the flat fron tface of the angled plate is now aligned E-W (pointing north and allowed for the 3.8W magnetic deviation) and the plate is inclined at 51.7 degrees to the horizontal which equals my latitude...

See what happens tonight then - and i'll try and get the guidecam in the right way up this time - even though PHD reckons it doesn matter a doodley squit....

William...

Right...

It didnt look pretty in the first place and now it looks even worse havign had theglued joints knocke apart and teh side pieces "butchered" to get teh angle of the dangle right...

But now if you put a set square on the mounting plane and look along it.... your looking Just off polaris :)

Got to lengthen the slots to bring the COG back over the center of the tripod.. but that's tomorrow nights job!!!

Tonight it's an early bath and sleep!!!
