Lead by Astronomer Stephen Mackintosh our second night sky watching event will take part either on Septemeber 15th, 16th, 22nd or 23rd. Please watch this page regularly for updates as we'll choose the best night weather wise closer to the time. Bring telescopes and/or binoculars if you have them but you'll have a chance to look through a larger 200mm telescope too. Last time we enjoyed gems like the moons of Jupiter, the Orion nebulae, lots of shooting stars, many constellations and passing satellites. Stephen is incredibly knowledgeable and will guide us about where to look. Please dress warmly. Please bring a red light torch if you have one.

A night of stargazing at Abriachan Forest guided by astronomer Stephen Mackintosh. This event will follow on from Abriachan's Wolf Brother for families, part of the Highland Archaeology Festival, so think Mesolithic star stories round the camp fire! Format will be weather dependent. If we're lucky to get clear skies we'll be out under the stars with binoculars and telescope, looking at some amazing objects. Otherwise Stephen will host some interesting talks and Q&A in the forest classroom. Wrap up warm. Admission is free but donations very welcome.
