    14-19 January 2009 Data from Hubble and the Chandra X-ray observatory combine in this image of galaxies colliding in the Bullet Cluster. It shows that most of the mass of galaxies is separate from the cluster’s hot gas, which is shown in pink. From this astronomers infer the presence of dark matter in the areas coloured blue.
