Afternoon Venus

Ralph Smyth

Lisburn, Northern Ireland

Celestron C8 SCT mounted on an HEQ5PRO. ZWO290MM camera imaging through a Baader 610nm longpass filter.

A further take on our blazing planetary neighbour Venus this time using a longpass filter. In the first clear sky for days (or since!), I was able to spot the bright dot of Venus in the afternoon sky and capture its beautiful crescent. All too the background of a bright afternoon sun in the SW.
