I captured this Aurora Shot on 03-19-2015 while leading my Annual Aurora Tour & Workshop, this is a 6 second exposure, @ ISO 3200, Canon 6D DSLR, 24 mm lens. The Aurora can get so bright that it can cast shadows & changes the color of the snow, Yes, mint green, red, or purple snow!

Another incredibly Bright Aurora Borealis shot with M45 Pleiades Star Cluster & The Bright Planet Venus above our heated Mongolian Yurts! Hot Apple Cider, Chocolate, or Romaine Noodles anyone?? Actually most of us are too busy watching & photographing the amazing Aurora Display to think of food or drinks!!! To the far left bottom you can see the Blue Snow Catz – Snow Caterpillars that get us to the top of the Mountains in the Interior of Alaska, we are 60 miles East of Fairbanks for the best 360 degree views of the Aurora & the Night sky!
