The Andromeda galaxy, despite being a naked eye object, has proven a difficult target to image. It really has caused me many sleepless nights trying to get results that I am happy with. The core of the galaxy is bright and easy to capture. However, the outer dust lanes are not so easy to capture and balancing the two has been a bit of a nightmare. I am therefore very pleased when I finally achieved this image.
