Telescope service 8″ Boren simon power newtonian, Skywatcher NEQ6 pro mount,Atik 383L+ camera, motorised filter wheel and Astronomik filters.
Part of the Veil nebula supernova remnant in the constellation Cygnus.
Spent a good ten minutes on the framing to make sure I captured as much of this object as possible. Also rotated the camera.
Narrowband filters and f2.8 optics helped to capture the detail. Captured alot more faint detail than I was expecting so happy with the result.
There is a learning curve with a mono camera and filters but the results are much better than my earlier dslr attempts of this object.
Data collected on two nights, 15th July and 21st July.
Sii/ha/oiii image with 6 hours and 22 minutes of data. 16 x 7.5min Sii & 18 x 7.5min Ha & 17 x 7.5min Oiii all unbinned.
