Open cluster and emission nebula in the constellation Monoceros.

Bok globules at the top and right of the image. These are dense areas of dust and gas that are star forming regions.

Haven’t imaged this object for three years so long overdue ago. Trying a hubble palette image this time to bring out the detail.

Very bright nebula and easy to image. Don’t need much data for a nice image.

Data collected on two nights. 30th November & 3rd December 2016.

Sii/ha/oiii image with 8 hours 0 mins of data. 12 x 15min Sii, 12 x 10min Ha, 12 x 15min Oiii 1×1 binning.
