The Eastern Veil Nebula (Caldwell 33) is a cloud of heated and ionized gas and dust in the constellation Cygnus. It is the remnant of a supernova that exploded 5,000 to 8,000 years ago.
This is Carly’s and my first attempt at narrow-band imaging and after nearly 2 years of astro-photography, the image we are the most pleased with.
The data was captured at the Kelling Heath star party in September and is made of 10 Ha and 11 OIII subs, both @ 900s + synthetic green
