This is an image of the Cocoon Nebula (Caldwell 19), the gorgeous emission and reflection nebula in Cygnus.
I really like this object. The central emission part of the nebula has an intriguing shape and the blue reflection nebula surrounding it gives a ghostly feel to it.
This was first light for my new 130mm super APO scope and Astrodon filters and I was really pleased with how the new kit performed.
Data is R: 28 x 300s, G: 24 x 300s, B: 24 x 300s for a total integration time of just over 6 hours (I’d previously uploaded a version with less data).
