Emission nebula in the constellation of Cassiopeia. A major star forming region.

Just managed to squeeze this object into my camera’s field of view.

A bit fainter than I was expecting so used 2×2 binning to boost the signal. Plenty of clear nights this week so managed to collect 12 hours of data.

Strong in hygrogen alpha so kept this at five minutes exposures while doubling exposure time to 10 minutes for oxygen and sulphur.

Used the hubble palette to revel the faint detail.

Three nights of data collected on the 15th, 21st and 22nd of September.

Sii/Ha/oiii image with 12 hours and 20 minutes of data. 40 x 5min Ha, 28 x 10min oiii, 26 x 10min sii 2×2 bining.
