Famous globular cluster in the constellation of Hercules. These objects are on the edge of our galaxy.

Contains more than 100,000 stars in 145 light years of space.

Used a series of three layer masks with different levels of scretched image to revel as much detail as possible. While not over brighting the core.

Trebled exposure times to 7.5 minutes from last years 2.5 minute effort.

Brand new 12″ optical tube arrived last week and works very well with my new EQ8 mount.

Data collected on two nights. 18th & 22nd April.

LRGB image with 8 hours and 15 minutes of data. 33 x Lum 11 x Red 11 x Green 11 x Blue 7.5 minute exposures.
