M65/M66/NGC3628 Leo Galaxy Trio

GSO 8″ Richey-Chretien Optical tube, Skywatcher NEQ6 pro mount,Atik 383L+ camera, motorised filter wheel and Astronomik LRGB filters.

Trio of galaxies in the constellation Leo about 35 million light years away.

M66 in the lower left is similar to our own milky way galaxy. M65 and NGC3628 are interacting and distorting each other.

2 Nights of data on 7th & 9th of January. 60 x 40 minute Field of view of my 8″ optical tube framed these objects nicely.

LRGB image with 7 hours 52 minutes of data. 30 x 7.5min Lum, 11 x 7.5min Red, 11 x 7.5min green & 11 x 7.5min blue.
